Any one every hiked in and hunted? How is the deer population and what was your experience? Just thinking about doing it some time would like some feed back

Ok im looking for a scope in the price range of $300...will be used for deer, elk, bear hunting.... shots out to 400 yards.... was thinking vortex and must have illuminated reticle... but open to options

when installing a base do you just locktite the screws that go through the base into the gun? Or is there more than that to it?

sidecar ill probably just end up getting the kit from wheeler....and i agree having someone at a big box store mount your scope is not a good idea

Do you use the lap bar even when you use a one piece base? And the levels pretty easy to use?
