In studying the Athlon website, I could not find where the Helos is using the HD glass. Seems like that comes with the Ares and higher. Can you double check that? The other downside appears to be the small MOA elevation adjustment.
That's all really encouraging news. That's a smokin' scope and sounds like its a serious shooter and all dialed in! I will definitely take off from your valuable rounds research. I've seen a couple of others who have recommended some of the same suggestions. Good luck on the TBAC....
Well, pulled the trigger as they say (pun intended) on a Savage 111 Long Range Hunter .300 Win Mag. Out the door (new), along with their $100 rebate (until the end of June) for $499. A heck of a rifle I'm thinking for the price and looking forward to my first long rifle.
Also my Bad that I was not using the right search terms originally on the site (a newbie), so I have now found a LOT of reviews and discussions on the Savage 11 LHR-- seems like a lot of satisfied folks!
