I wanted to check in with you and ask how the "Savage Gunsmithing" rifle has worked out for you. I purchased a Savage Mk II TRR-SR (.22lr) from them over 7 months ago as a trainer rifle for my wife and nephew. I'm having a similar experience to the one you wrote about... countless emails and phone calls with little to no response. I'm wondering if the wait and sub pare customer service is worth it. Thanks for posting the warning on this site. I wish I would have read it before I placed my order. I will be sure to update my comment to your post once I get my rifle (assuming that I eventually do get it) and am able to test it out.
