I’ve had a 2400BDX since they came out. I haven’t had any issues with it besides it only has the lite version of Applied Ballistics in it. I’ve been using my a cheap wind reader and isterlok to shoot further than that. A little cumbersome to use but works. Looking for info on getting a...
Grew up hunting the Southern end of the state. Taken a lot of deer over the years off the Zion. Our family cabin Is in Zion as well. Great times... I’ll be back out there this year as well.
I’ve been shooting a 6mmAR for alot of years now. Just a straight neck down of the Grendel before the ARC came out. It’s my main coyote rifle. The 75 V-Max is my go to for coyotes. Puts them down on the spot, however it is not very fur friendly if that’s what your after.
I’m sitting on about 15 lbs of it give or take. I’m stuck overseas though for another year. As I watch what’s going on in the states I’m glad I purchased an extra 8 lbs before I left.
I have been running the Berger 168 Hunters and RL26 in my 7mm mag for the past 5 years or so. I run them around 3050 FPS and i can consistent 1/2 - 3/4 inch groups if I do my part. They hammer deer though that’s for sure!
I have been shooting a 6mmAR For years now it’s a fun versatile round. I run 55s for PDs, 75 VMAXs for coyotes and 95 SMKs to 108 ELDs for long range steel plinking. I also have plenty of .223s, 6.8 SPCs and a 6.5 Grendel. The only downside to both the 6mmAR and the 6.5 Grendel is the brass...
I run RL26 in both my 7mm Mags. 168 Berger classic hunters in one at 3050 FPS. 162 ELDx in the other at 3010 FPS. Hornady Brass/Federal 215s. Both under MOA out to 800. Haven’t shot for groups past that. I have rang steel with both out to 1000 no problem. The 168 classic hunters have been...
I have built multiple ARs. Multiple .223s from 16” to a 24” a .204 24”, a 6mm AR, 6.5 grendel, 6.8 SPC. They all have there own uses. For all out accuracy I would have to say my .204 is the most accurate. For long range it’s the 6mm AR. Fun ringing still at a 1K with a short AR. Also does...
I shoot the 168 Classic Hunter Bergers in my 24in at 3015 FPS. I am at about 1.5 grains below my Guns max with RL26 also. I would go up in charge or change powders as those speeds seem a little slow to me.
I have about 12 lbs left sitting in my parents gun room. It will be awhile before I start reloading again. Got stationed in Japan and everything went to storage.
