I run the mini in 6.5 grendel w/ a sightron 3x16. Heavy barrel suppressed... Love it....you won't regret a mini My only gripe is the mag latch catches if it slides up on my sticks...but these things are garnering a cult following. The aftermarket is booming on these little guys!

While you're on Cameraland, check out the Sightron lines as well. Sightron is a sleeper in glass right now, as I've got 7 of the S-TAC line scopes and am nothing but satisfied. Or call and talk to Doug about his recommendations he will tell you what comes back, what goes for repairs etc...

Came on it, Baraka 3x9 ir, and El cheapo mounts....my brother-in-law and I are blowing it out....planning stock upgrade, optics, trigger work etc. Probly going w/ a Talley set, and a sightron S-TAC. I'll be diving into this thing scrubbing grime and a once-over tune up next couple days...

Update: Athlon sent me a brand new pair of Gen 2 Midas 12x50 binos. As they've redesigned the outer aesthetics of the line. They are just as good as the Gen 1

I got real into the Athlon lines when prepping for out west. My recommendation is anything Midas line or above. All their glass is Chinese except the cronus scope line. They are from Japan. I currently have my midas 12x50's in for warrantee work due to one of my eye pieces being locked out...

Shot a deer cross hollow (140-ish yds) w/ my suppressed Howa 6.5 Grendel. 123gr ELD-M, granted BLACK was the only ammo I could find during these times I was satisfied with the performance. Deer never knew it was hit, quarter size in and out....she never knew she was dead. Walked 10 ft...

I'm going to say if you have it financially, bench the CM until the yunguns can stand the kick,, and pick up the Howa 1500 mini, I picked one up a week before deer season...(it wasn't my fault, they had them by the register at Grice's) For a shade over 5 bills, or better on sale you get a gun...
