Yea, private can be a gut kick.
I should have mentioned the Hunting
Fool, Epic Outdoors and Eastmans. Subscribe to one will teach you a ton on whats good vs great in the west. I use toprut also for the quick compare on odds.
First I look at resident odds/ demand vs applicants and also NR. 2nd is research guys that have hunted it and a call to the bio. Then make a wish list of what I can draw now vs what I could possibly draw with more points. I don't have much faith in harvest data, but always take a look.
Wow nice tag! No experience in 102, but don't be afraid to start up high. Those buck will work there way down as September comes around. Good luck, My sons drew g.
N570 and h1000 share a pretty similar burn rate. We've had awesome results with both, but N570 seems to push the heavys faster with less pressure. Ive also read that n570 is better for temp stability.
Currently using the 570 in a 7mm stw with the 195s.
The nosler partitions wont let you down. They shot a 4" group @ 500 to, so not bad for a flat base.
I have good luck with the accubonds in my 280 rem but going a bit slower than stw.
Doing to many things at one time does that to me. I referring to my experience and ask about your buddies rifle...the 8.7 bartlein? Sorry I obviously have to many irons in the fire for my pea brain! Lol...kinda irrelevant but you pointed out 7sum and I assume you was referring to 7mmstw.
