Maybe consider building on a long action to seat the bullets long.

    TSA approved gun case recommendations

In 2013 flying to Africa no ammo with the rifles. Same year flying to Alaska they were ok with it and been ok since. I will also mention that with heavy rifles and ammo I usually paid extra for being over 50 pounds.

    TSA approved gun case recommendations

1750 pelican its heavy but it works. I put a shotgun and rifle in soft cases. Ammo in boxes and clothes to fill any gaps. I've watched them throw my case onto the conveyor from 10 feet away and never had an issue. I do prefer the latches on the im3300 better. The pelicans take a beating and work...

    TSA approved gun case recommendations

No gun parts in carry on luggage at least on Alaska Airlines. Both you and I know a scope isn't really a gun part but they know its for a gun and will make you check it. Pelican case with 4 matching padlocks not TSA locks they are not supposed to get into your case after inspection. No loose...

    Best Controlled Feed Action???

I bought the Ruger in 375 Ruger to take to Africa in 2013. I really enjoy the rifle. I'm in no way a Ruger guy. I do have a few of there weapons and like them. I have the older Alaskan grey laminate stock 22" barrel and no brake. I never put a scope on it only ever shot it iron sights and it...

    338 EDGE LOADING DIES.

Whidden makes 338 Edge dies I load with them and like them fine. My dies are bushing full length micrometer seater and came with a shoulder bump gauge for setting back the shoulder.

    Remington 700 5R Muzzle Brake?

I would suggest finding a local gunsmith to do the work and get advice from. You can go see their work and look at brakes they may have made or have in stock. You're in Washington there are a bunch of smiths around that can do a brake locally.

    Go ahead poke away ...

Don't know if I care for your language but I won't be caught crying about it. People need to toughen up grow up and most of the time shut up.

G1–G7: Nearly had a heart attack!

I lap all the rings on all the scopes I mount. When you see the the material not coming off evenly in the rings you'll know why lapping is important. Now some rings don't need much but others do they may even be the same brand and model of ring. But all need at the very least some attention and...

Recommend add on adjustable cheek riser

Plus one on the Karsten I've done a few for others and have two on a couple of my rifles. The thumb screw adjustable is nice for ease of adjusting to another shooter from your setting. The thumb screw is a bit bulky for me on a hunting rifle. The slotted one with the Chicago screws is super...

Shooting the "Magic Mile" with a 30 Cal.

I hope to build the target stand for my mile targets Sunday if the snow has melted enough. Usually takes another couple of weeks to get to the shooting position. So I'm hoping to find out if my 300win up to the task soon.
