I am going to have to go at 7 or 7 and 1/2, the company I'm working with does not offer an 8. Would you recommend a 6 groove, or a 5r twist?

I have come to the conclusion on my wsm build, to shoot the 170s on my SA, I'm gonna be single shot. Then develop a 150 for hunting. Glad I found this thread, I was torn between 24" or 26".

I am building a wsm as well. I think I'm going with a 1-7 twist. Plan is to build some 170s for LR, and run a 150 for hunting. I am probably going to run a xcaliber, carbon.
