Thanks everyone for the input! Kind of had my mind set on the 338 RUM but i'm going to look hard at the 375 H&H. Any idea's on the difference between the 338 Rum and .375 H&H for recoil? I'm not recoil sensitive just curious. Nice bear Michigander1!

Looking at going on a Alaska brown bear hunt but I want to have a rifle built first. What cal. do you think is best and what bullet? My own thought is a 338 RUM. I want stopping power in the event things went south! Thanks Jim

Armor is very flat? I’m looking for a little sheen, so I’m thinking just little extra hardener for the armor. Has anyone tried drips per ML? I read a few years back someone was putting three drips per ML. I’m sure that depends on the bottle you’re using. I just shot a barreled action and ran it...

That AR lower is exactly is what im looking for. I have Armor black, I'll add a little extra hardener to it and see how it goes.

The main problem is the graphite black. Im pretty sure its humidity, very hard to get a matte finish out of it. If the humidity is high i get a gloss black out of it. I call it black ice, almost looks like a "wet" black. My only complaint on wear is on the bolt or a barrel in a pistol slide...

Looking for a Matte black that is not Cerakote. Not getting good results out of Cerakote and they are unwilling to help. Anybody had good luck with a different product? Thanks Jim
