6mm Creedmoor first elk hunt

My friends two daughters both killed elk, one with a 243 win. the other with a 6mm remington. Shot placement is the whole story. Good luck.

You know, you would never go wrong with a 243 win., the 243 has killed all kinds of game. Less recoil. Just a great cartridge.

a fast twist 277-308 or 277 fury would be interesting depending on minimum velocity for expansion. too bad I retired my 270-338rum imp.

You did not list the powder, but your loads look very close to mine. I am using 145gr. Hornady ELD-X bullet. I took apart a factory load...
