    Garmin Xero - update

So if I have a case of Tac-22 (5,000 rounds). That would be the population? And if I were shooting all 5,000 rounds you would use STDEV.P. In this case, I selected two boxes to shoot so that was a sample of the 5,000 even though its a fairly large sample from a shooting stand point so the...

    Garmin Xero - update

Below is a large sample size of 86 shots. STDEV and STDEV.P are very close with a large sample size with Excel rounded to one decimal place like the Garmin results. Originally posted with Excel having 2 decimal places which didn't really make sense since the results were being compared with...

    Prairie Dog Rifle Question…

If I were building a 22CM, I would look hard at having it melonite/nitrided.

I never waited but don't regret it either. I needed the data back then also. It just makes me appreciate my Garmin even more. Fortunately I bought my shoot through optical used and sold it to buy my used Magnetospeed. Sold MS to buy the Garmin new. Love the Garmin more then any of the others.

Works perfect. I shot 150 rounds of 22 yesterday next to a centerfire and never missed a shot

Differences between 6.5 SAUM & 6.5 Sherman Short

I already have the SA TL3 so I am just trying to figure out my best options with 143 Bondstrike, 147 ELD and 156 eol. Thank you for the info.

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro

Even better, I have already seen pictures of the Garmin taken apart showing the battery inside. The user who posted already found replacement batteries on Amazon with the same dimensions and output and connector. Looks to be an easy swap for diy'ers

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro

If it were possible to have a relatively cheap chrono that would measure velocity out to 500 to 1000 that didn't have to fit in a truck, then I would agree that it would be nice piece of equipment for calculating custom BC's and helping true apps. Out to 100 yards for the Labradar, not that...

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro

Skip the gun shop accessories way to expensive. Mine fits perfectly in a GoPro case for $10 and is in my range bag every time I go to the range. The small tripod works just fine but Amazon has heavier ones for cheap if your concerned about it tipping over Amazon also has cheap Arca rails for...

Differences between 6.5 SAUM & 6.5 Sherman Short

Isn't the purpose of the SS exactly what you said - Short Action and not meant to be compared to medium or long action performance. If you already have a short action receiver and loading in a magazine for hunting, would not the SS be the best choice if you don't mind the increased cost of...

    I like math….mean radius

OnTarget TDS. It is not an app though, and you have to install it on a windows pc. It comes with a free trial for a certain number of days and then costs about $35 if it is doing what you want. You take a pic or scan of your target and upload it into the software. It works great. I have used...

7 mm SHERMAN SHORTMAG vs 7 SAUM

I definitely agree if I had a medium action but with the short action trying to get closer to the lands with more velocity.

    6.5 prc ackley improved thoughts

Which factory ammo did you test with the 6.5 PRC/SI that showed good accuracy (1/2" 5 shot, 3/4" 10> shot groups)? What twist barrel did you use? I ask this because I have a used 6.5 PRC in a short action TL3 on the way that is arriving tomorrow with a Proof 7.5 twist 24" carbon fiber barrel...

Adding moa to a 20moa rail

I am running that on one of my 22's with a flat base with the inserts only for 40 moa. Gets me out to 500 yards just barely with a vortex Strike Eagle 34 mm tube with no zero stop installed. At zero at 50 yards I have about 5 clicks below 0. The only problem is when shooting 25 to 100 yards...
