hi lads just like to share my other nights shooting with you. i got invited over to a friends permissions the other night in herefordshire which is on the border of england and wales. its very hilly and is prime fox shooting country.
as some of the fields have been cut there should be lots...
will set it up this week hopefully if the weather stays nice and the wind stops abit. going to set it up on the winchester silvertips for now then somehome loads i have :D 50 grain vmax with varget powder in norma brass
well i got my zeiss scope through the post yesterday. its the conquest 6.5x20x50 with no 4 recticial.
1st though was it was very light compared to the bushnell 4200 elite i had before. i guess thats down to it being a 25mm tube and not 30mm
1st got the eye focus in and i was pretty...
hi lads and ladys im hoping you can help me please. i have a member of my family going to las vegas in 3 weeks time and im hoping there are there any gunshops close to the strip ?
as im looking at getting a zeiss conquest scope so do any of you on here no if there is please atb from england
my friend had a savage and he said the 52grain amax had stunning groups in his savage. it took him a fair bit to get a cracking load he was happy with !
because he said the cheap factory privi ammo would group 1/4 to 1/2 !
which is superb:cool:
havent tried any groups at 200 yards yet mate.
as for bullets it shoots the cheap privi ammo well and sako softpoints in 50 grain, 55 grain federal softpoints, and winchester 50g silver tip ammo.
grouping at 100 yards is 1/4 to 1/2 depending on ammo and me :D
here is a couple of pics of the rifle. the scope on it in these pictures was a bushnell elite 6x24x50 elite tactial. i no longer
have that now because the field of view is a bit small and im not keen on mildots.
apart from that the optics was super and great under the lamp to.
its a winchester stealth heavy barrel 22/250 with h& stock with 26inch barrel and 1in14 twist
it has a ase cqb mod in m18x1 sako thread which is made for 22 centrefires and is the best mod for the 22/250 in my eyes. really takes the boom away from the fast round.
i have a jewell trigger here...
thanks for all your replays lads :) one my thing i would like to ask what
do you put anything on your bolts to greese them up and keep the chamber where the bolt go's greesed ? :)
and could you use abit of this greese on the thread end for the screwcut to keep it and the mod thread greesed...
im after a new cleaning rod and jag and brushes and wanted to no what make rods you use on here ? and are the carbon, steel, steel with nylon coating ?
also what sort of cooper remover or powder remover do you use ? :)
anyone got a jewell trigger in there winchester mod 70 ?
ive just got mine from the usa today and should get it fitted by this week.
im looking forward to seeing how it performs.
what could i do next to my mod 70 stealth ? skim bedded the stock
and get some of those b square screws i hear...
