Nosler Accubond long range 129 grain will do it! I’ve used them on dozens of deer and antelope never recovered one yet.

It’s a left handed thumb hole for a right handed Winchester model 70 300win mag.

Boyd’s does make them. I got one for my son.

My sons 338 RUM did exactly the same thing. I tapped out the screw holes to 8-40 and JB welded the NightForce 8-40 base to the action. No more problems!

I have 2… a vx5hd 3-15 on a 6.5-06 AI been using it for 3 years it tracks perfect. And a vx6 3-18 on a tikka 300WSM with very snappy recoil. No problems love them!!! I’ve dialed both extensively out past 800.

I’ve been running Ramshot Hunter in 300WSM with 150 Nosler Accubond for many years, and in 243 Winchester with 80 grain Sierra also. It’s Awesome! Great speeds and accuracy. Single digits Es and Sd.

She’s a beauty! Any idea of round count, and twist rate of the barrel? How’s it group?

I haven’t cronoed it for a while but it’s about 3350, and shoots better than I do! Clover leafs at 100 yds In my Winchester 24” model 70 classic stainless, and under 1/2 inch in my Tikka T3 stainless. Tikka is a little faster... about 3380

In my 300wsm’s I use 71.5grains of Ramshot Hunter and Nosler Accubond 150 grain, with Winchester brass and Federal Gold Metal magnum Match primers. I won’t get into seating depth just suffice to say not jammed into the lands.... Obviously work up your own load paying attention to pressure!!! But...

I’ve been doing this since the 80’s, I buy a 5# or 8# keg and when it gets down a couple pounds I pour in a pound or 2. Shake it up and go back to reloading. I’ve found if you do this you never have to rework a load. I never run a keg empty!

Federal gold magnum match has worked the best for me for over 20 years. Nosler 168 Accubond Long Range with Reloader 26 @ 80grains gives me 3265fps with an ES of 5 from my 24” barrel.

I use 80 grain Sierra boat tails in my .243 for antelope and coyote. They work well and are accurate. The extra velocity is very nice!

I have a Leupold vx5hd 3-15 44mm windplex on my 6.5 wildcat. I run 129 accubond long range at 3250fps. ( it’s “like” a Sherman) works very well on prairie dogs out to 600yds. And can ring steel out to 1450 with the CDS dial. Great light weight hunting rifle a little over 7# scoped! Love my Leupold!

To expensive for me... $5.07/ each. But probably great brass. Thank for the suggestion!
