Best lightweight sleeping bag for the money

I spent a lot of time camping in the cold, a bag under 20 degrees and better a 0 degree is better I used a timberline tent, good for four seasons light and tough, I put a emergency blanket under the tent, half inch foam pad down under the bag, if it was really cold I used a candle light made for...

    Case Head Separation

I used a lighter load to fire form my brass, also 41 grains of Varget was the max load on my 40 gr bullets so 40 grs seems wrong for a 12 gr heaven bullet, this data was from my nozler number six book, I noticed this when I was working up my 22-250AI, may be nozler needs to redo the load data...

Input on stretching distance on 223 16.25in with 9 twist barrel

I never let the wind stop me, when most of my shooting buddies stayed home I was shooting, every shot was a learning shot, it is never a waste of AMMO to shoot in the wind, the .223 is a great round the things that little round can teach you will carry over to the bigger stuff.

Why is there not much talk about Weatherby Rifles?

I have had a couple, I think that most problems that people have is that these rifles have more free bore than others, I have a .223 heavy barrel an d it has been hard to reload for, I retorqued the barrel to stock and I finally woke up, the gun did not like the bullet I was reloading, switched...

This is my backup bear gun, change my mind.

I have a 460 Roland I really like the thing, my 45acp is a great Gun but not that good on pigs, the 460 on only hits hard but it goes deep, loud but I can not hear any way

    Starting out on a budget

I started with a rcbs starter kit cheap easy came with every thing including a Speer book to get started, that was in 73, as you learn and money permits you can add or replace with items that works better, read , ask questions take your time. If you find that reloading is not for you sell the...

Cartridge dissection - Open to interpretation

If you do not satisfy your curiosity, you do not learn, so the question is what did you learn. I have cut up several cases to see the inside, my favorite was the difference between .223 and the 5.56. You will find answers by doing, as long as you exercise safety.

    1.04 Mile Prairie Dog

I do not care that was a shot to be remembered, no matter what I would have loved to be there to see that, I wonder what the negative’s would say to the old snipers who only had a Redfield 3 to 9, no spotters no computers just ability, they made magic shots and hit the target. I would had like...

    Giving out Load Advice caution!

I agree, I believe that you have given out sound advice, I started reloading in 73 while in Germany, I have a firm policy of not reloading for any one, I would invite them to come over and help them reload for them selves, if the load was one given to them and over book max I stopped and would...
