Dropped this dog at 170 yds from ... sit down for this part...the carport. It was dusk and I had a caller going & she eased up to the far woodline. Probably didn't think i could see her but her silhouette was clear in my ATN Pro 4k. The 6mm ARC didn't drop at all.

Interested in what WYOTEX has to report. I'm looking at swapping my 14 year old Leupold VX3 for a Veracity PH on my 300 Wby Mk V.

Here's another vote for Varget. I load the Barnes TTSX 150s over 45 grains of Varget for my daughter's Compact Compass 2 with a 16.5 inch barrel. The groups are right around 1-1.25 in at 100 yds, average 2678 fps and easily takes whitetails. She even took an Oryx last summer in South Africa...

Thanks again for the feedback and suggested loads. Has anyone loaded/shot the Hornady ELD-X 178 gr out of 300 Wby? If so, with what powder? Also, I could not find any load data for the 165 gr Swift A-frame online. Does anyone have the swift reloading manual handy? Cheers
