    Load prepping for 174HH

I just checked, and at present the HH load data does not have an entry for 30/06 and the 174 gn HH. Since I don't know how much reloading experience you have, I'm hesitant to offer any charge weight suggestions. You are basically working up from an unknown. You didn't mention the barrel...

Shoulder dents in AR15 and AR10 cases

Put some lipstick on the deflector, then fire a round. Look at the case and check for lipstick. Might want to do it more than once to be sure, since you mentioned it only happens 30-50% of the time. If it is the deflector, there are rubber bumpers you can glue on to help protect the brass.

    CCI PRIMES-anybody bought from them?

Some of them are smart enough to claim they take credit card. If you just rely on being able to check out with your card, you could end up giving your name, address, credit card number, and CVV from the back to a Russian scammer.

    CCI PRIMES-anybody bought from them?

There is a web site called cciprimes.com I assume that's what the OP is asking about. 1) Visit the site and look for oddities, poor web design, and poor use of the engrish language. https://cciprimes.com/ Visiting the site, you can spot several spelling errors, which is a sign that either the...

    Annealing no color change?

It's hard to compare results when the prep and materials are not the same. You have some brass that's been tumbled, some that has not. You're also using two different brands of brass. How did the Tempilaq say you hit temperature? Did it turn black, or turn clear? How consistent were you...

    Hammer Bullets

Last year's load for my 300wm was 166gn HH being pushed by 77.7 gn VV 560. In the 24" 1/10 barrel they were moving at 3208 fps and I was getting groups between .75 moa and .48 moa. This year I have a new 26" 1/9 Brux on the gun, so I'm working up a load with a heavier bullet (205 gn Berger EH...

You best avoid the H1000 then. No need to introduce your friend to the frustration of trying to find it in stock at market price.

Hammer Bullets HHT Memorial Day Sale

My english teacher explained it like this: Make it two sentences, separate them. "Brian likes HHT bullets." "I like HHT bullets." If so, then "Brian and I like HHT bullets." "Joe told Brian to use HH bullets." "Joe told me to use HH bullets." If so, then "Joe told Brian and me to use HH...

Hammer Bullets HHT Memorial Day Sale

    OK, let's try a different 30 cal comparison then. 199g HH Length = 1.625" Weight = 197g G7-BC = .299 (from shot drops) Min twist 1-9.25 203g HHT Length = 1.710" Weight = 203g G7-BC = .291 (estimated) Min twist 1-9 Even when the HHT is longer, weighs more, and requires a faster twist...

Hammer Bullets HHT Memorial Day Sale

I have to admit, I'm trying to figure out how, or why the HHT would end up with a LOWER bc than the HH in comparable weights. 30 cal 181 gr HH = G7-BC=.272 calculated from shot drops 182 gr HHT = g7-bc= .261 estimated

    Annealing prior thumbling?

I wet tumble, shake the pins and water out, then anneal. Dries them off the rest of the way.

    Done Trimming Brass!

I swear you guys are going to cost me money, again. I didn’t know I needed a bore scope until this thread. Now a chamber length gage too? Not to derail the tread, but can a bore scope also see when a bullet is touching the lands?
