    New Garmin vs Magneto

I still own all three. Imho, the Garmin is by far better than the other two. I shoot LR and they get used almost every time you shoot. The shooting area is full of "stuff". Eliminating cables, battery packs, and a big orange box really helps.

    Go to 6.5 bullet

I have a 6.5x284 that loves the 140 Berger Hybrid and a 6.5CM that won’t shoot them. Went back to the HNDY 140 ELD—M and it likes them.

    Weatherby Rounds!

I have just started loading the 257 Weatherby Mag. I have never crimped any of my long guns loads, ever. I shot my 257 with .55” 5 shot groups with good speed at 100. The SD and ES were not wonderful but the groups, I was satisfied with. Have not changed powders or played with jump yet but for...

Best piece of reloading of equipment u have

I made the leap as well and am very happy with the scale. I added the auto trickler to it and cut my time from literally about 2 -3 minutes to accurately scale a charge to 10 seconds - to the kernel. It is wonderful! The new V3 Trickler is now out, but they are behind on shipping as the demand...

Beginner that doesn’t understand scope reticles...

I dial for elevation and hold for wind. You need enough hash marks for windage but not so many as to get confused. You can get reticles with way too many hash marks or dots, try to avoid that, in your first scope.

Are carbon wrapped barrels really worth the extra $$ ?

If you shoot a lot they definitely have an advantage regarding heat. I shoot my target barrel, carbon wrapped and it is much cooler.

Why would you not sight in at 100 yards?

I guess it depends on what you are doing it for. I agree with the hunting senario, which I do - sight in for what I think a normal shot would be for the area I am hunting. However, I am a long range target shooter 600 - 1000 and I sight those guns in at 100 for your same reasons.

    Best short barreled 6.5 caliber??

I have a custom Long Range Target 6.5x284. Running 48.5gr H4350 and a Berger 140 Hybrid with an average of 2822fps. I am new, and they are telling me I will get anywhere from 800-1500 shots out of that barrel with that caliber...
