I had a few of the canvas lead shot bags laying around the reloading room. So I filled them with rice and wired them shut. Nice and light and work great. You can even find them cheap on ebay if you don't have any at the house. Jim

+1 on that one My Remington VS came with a H.S. Precision stock and I loved it. My SPS Varmint came with the piece of crap stock like you're talking about. It now wears a H.S. Precision just like my VS and I haven't looked back. Jim

The stock came off of a varmint heavy barrel in .243 caliber. It also had the internal magazine. So if you wanted the external magazine you will have to cut the stock to make that fit. If you are still interested I will get the shipping price for you. Jim
