I haven't shot the Barnes bullet, but I have shot the 200 gr. SMK. My most accurate load is 117 gr of H50BMG (OAL 3.645" & WLRM primer). I also used 118 gr. of US869 with 200 gr. Accubonds and had respectable results. Same OAL and primer. All shots were from a Weatherby Accumark.

I'm also using 58gr H4350 under a 165 AB. I all use 59gr H4350 under a 150 AB. Both provide excellent results.

My best elk was <20 yards with a bow, because I couldn't get any closer. I thought the game with archery gear was to get as close as possible.
