    .223 reloading cartridge problems

Gentlemen, Great response regarding salvaging primers! Given the cases have bulges, and would not fit into the chamber of the rifle, I do not think they'd fit into the resizing/depriming die....wouldn't want to get them stuck. Tried to cut the end off of one of these screw-ups-in-question...

    .223 reloading cartridge problems

Thank you SidecarFlip and Kennibear. Super information I will use. By the way, do either of you have a suggestion for safely removing 107 primers from this group of cases I screwed-up....short of hitting an awl with a hammer and destroying the primers? Thank you

    .223 reloading cartridge problems

mtwarych, Thank you for your input. This makes sense. I'll have to experiment. This is for an AR platform. The rounds that I did not crimp were all spot-on. Perhaps, crimping is not necessary. I undertook this because I purchased rounds with the cannelure on them and reasoned I HAD to...

    .223 reloading cartridge problems

Thank you Gents for your response. Kennibear, I did trim the cases...none of which were range pick-ups. I am using an RCBS .223 die set. You think I should switch to the Lee Factory Crimp Die? For the record, this was my first try at loading with cannelure bullets. Zero problem loading with...

    .223 reloading cartridge problems

Hi, When reloading some .223 cases, my son noticed some bulging at the base of the shoulder where it meets the case body....most common. On some, the shoulder, from base of neck to base of shoulder, has been compressed. On one, the shoulder has almost disappeared. All the above APPLIES...

    Benchmark powder in 300WSM & .243 Rem.

I have both rifles and jumped on this stuff in a store feeding frenzy. Has anyone reloaded this in the above weapons? Also, someone recently told me a 180g bullet would better serve the 300WSM than the 168g HPBT. Comments most appreciated....new to reloading:)

"c" after load? No 168g bullet in data? Load over max gr?

Thanks to you folks that took some time to address my questions. All valuable information I will consider and incorporate into my reloading exploration!:)

I am new to reloading (picked a great time with all the AVAILABLE components out there!) and find it intoxicating. However, I do have a few questions, perhaps a bit simplistic, but I'd like to ask the "gurus." 1. I know the small "c" after a grain amount eg; 65.0c, means compressed. What...
