Hey guys I got it figured out, the screws were too close together and maxed out. Just backed them up a bit and we are all good and safe!

Defens - Thank you for the detailed response. my trigger pull "weight" screw was all the was out but still in the trigger. this the that is under the trigger. the sear engagement screw was all the way in and i screwed the over travel screw in bunch. i will take apart the rifle and tinker with it...

thanks for all the help so far guys. actually i haven't shot the GMX out of it yet, i just had foot surgery so im on the couch for a while just building up my research. i usually shoot 130gr winchester soft-point for hunting. and yea im looking to building up a Remington 700 .308 in the future...

i mean honestly 1000yards is prob a lot further than i will shoot but i would like to try it. i have plenty of private land to shoot on so thats not an issue. i need to practice a lot to even try a long shot like that but i was just wondering if its worth trying to make this rifle a long range...
