While I do think certain cartridges are designed inherently better regarding accuracy (6BR, the PPC’s, etc), I think it’s more the chamber/barrel/action/bullet interaction that makes a rifle either picky or a hammer.

Basically a cost reason. I can start shooting sooner at about half the cost. If money weren’t an issue I’d absolutely build my dream custom setup!!! Maybe when I’m neck deep into it I’ll pull the trigger on a custom, but right now I just can’t wait to start!

Flukes happen. While it wouldn’t be my 1st choice for elk…although I might consider it in heavy for caliber offerings…the ELD-X is a well designed hunting bullet. Do your own expansion tests if it gives you warm fuzzies. If ya have em shoot ‘em😉

Ok here goes. Match bullets are NOT for hunting! Period. Stop it!!! Even the manufacturers say so. The rate of expansion is NOT guaranteed. This fad is NOT ETHICAL. The animals we hunt deserve it. Use bullets BUILT for hunting. NOT bullets BUILT for target shooting.
