Check the grand vista hotel in parachute. I stay there when I hunt that area and it’s pretty cheap. I’ve stayed there two years in a row now, and I’ll stay there next time I get a tag as well.
If you’re looking for a cheap, semi lightweight option, go with the magpul. I was hesitant at first but it works great. I’ve had it on many extreme backpack hunts and was very satisfied with it.
Have you had much success with the deer and elk out there? We didn’t see any. Just a bear and two goats. I’d love to figure out the deer and elk in the place. It’s a great excuse to get out there and backpack.
Did anybody hunt in 27-1 for sheep this year? My best friend drew the tag and we ended up killing on day 7. I’d love to hear your experiences on the unit.

A good friend of mine drew the 27-1 tag for 2023 and we ended up killing a 165”-170” ram on day 7. If anybody needs some intel I’d be happy to share with you.
To say the least be prepared to hike. We went unguided and did not scout the area prior to flying in. We used e-scouting to our...
I have a MBM Beast II 5 port and it is amazing. Nathan can be slow to respond to emails, but he is great to work with. He asked me if I wanted a cerakote on the brake and then helped me get the exact color I wanted. I have mainly used the brake on my 28 nosler shooting Berger 195 EOL’s. The...
