That Mcgowan action should be a good choice.If you are going to go rear grip,the new target actions Savage is making look nice.They only run about $425.00 with an accutrigger,and are available RP/LP or RB/RP with both 223 and 308 boltfaces.I looked at them at the Shot Show,and was impressed.

Kiff is making the system for Wyatt's.I have it on my Edge that Shawn just built.Can't say I have any regrets.I did ask Wyatt at the shot show about smaller mags,and he said he will have 5 rounders out shortly,and also that he's going to use a heavier,hardend steel in their construction.

I was considering one of them for my Edge build too,but decided to go with a Manners and the new Wyatt's magazine system.It would be interesting to hear back how long of a cartridge that stock's magazine area will take.

I have a few.The gunsmith I used in the 80's-90's used MPI exclusively.He went over to Mcmillan though because they could make their stocks to the specs he wanted better than MPI,such as weight,finish,etc.
