    Inherited a 280 Rem.

I had about 50lbs and 6,000 primers. The volunteer firefighters were a little hesitant to enter that room, there was a lot of popping. Lol

I usually do the same with my manuals, but I'm starting all over right now. I lost twenty years of reloading supplies, equipment and manuals to a fire. Hopefully the new house will be finished soon, so I can start my hobby again.

    Rifle Insurance

I'm glad I got to see this post. As someone who lost almost everything in a house fire on October 17, our homeowners policy covered $3000 on firearms. Allstate includes gun safes, firearms, ammo, and reloading equipment in that sum. The guns in the safes were ok, after cleaning, but I lost a lot...

I inherited a Remington 700 BDL in 280 Rem, would anyone want to share load data? I have some Berger 140 VLD hunting bullets on hand. I only have Staball 6.5 at the moment, but I'll try to find whatever I need.

    Die cleaning

They were in cases in a file cabinet, but the cases started to melt. The firefighters were keeping their distance from that room. There was a lot of ammo popping.

    Die cleaning

I'll be sure to post it. I sure hope no one else has to deal with it. Check your insurance policies, because guns, ammo, safes and reloading equipment all fall under the same umbrella in most of them.

    Die cleaning

Thanks for the replies. I'll start trying to clean them and see how it goes.

    Die cleaning

Has anyone ever had to clean soot from a house fire off of dies? All of my die sets have black soot on them and I would like to save them, if possible.
