i assume you are not cutting below 20 inches wich makes the 308 quite handy but reduces your max range a bit it is a common belief that cutting an inch reduces velocity by 25 fps.four inches would reduce the killing power abit and bullet drop would be more.if the max range is say 400 yards the reduction would be 25 yds
