26" Proof Research 1:9.4 twist

I am currently running the 260g Hammer at 3020fps in the 338 Norma Mag with RL-26, I wonder what I could get these up to? Any Plans for a 338 absolute Hammer?

My Sons Remington 700 used to kick like a mule until we got rid of the 20 dollar crap stock that it came with and put it in a stockys stock with a straight comb. Its actually a pleasure to shoot now.

I am looking to try Superperformance with the 123 Absolute Hammers in the 6.5 PRC, Has anyone ventured this direction. Hammer Bullets said to go with a faster powder for the Absolute Hammer bullets.

Well it shoots the way it is so we are going to shoot it. My original post was about the center screw being missing, I should have left out the pre 64 part cuz thats what everyone wants to focus on. I guess from what was stated earlier is that the action only needs the front and rear screws...

I ran the serial number and according to Winchester it was made in 1949 and it has a controlled feed bolt. The bedding was done on the recoil lug and on the action at the rear screw so I am thinking that the center screw was omitted by whoever bedded the rifle. Bolt picture attached
