    6.5 PRC Reloading

I'm a believer in jumping bullets. I'd been reluctant for a time and then read Berger's website regarding the practice and gave their process a try. Here's the link: https://bergerbullets.com/vld-making-shoot/ The Bottom line for me was that jumping certain types of bullets produces amazing...

    6.5 PRC Reloading

Started jumping 140 gr VLDs in my 6.5 PRC with 58.2 grs of H1000 after doing a ladder test and finding a node here (velocity of 2994 FPS). Followed the process according to Berger's website using 0.030" to start and ended with 0.120". 0.030" produced 5 shot groups at 100 of 0.50" while the jump...

    Brass manufacturer difference?

A lot of people cut a little rubber stopper that is nearly dimensionally similar to a primer (just a little bigger to ensure a tight fit and no leakage). To the Original Post, as many others have indicated, Lapua Brass is great and money well spent. I've also enjoyed success with Norma but have...

    6XC Load Data - RL23, N550, IMR-4166

Have you tried any other bullet weights? I'm building a 6XC and recognize that the 115gr bullets are likely the best but was curious about the other options.

How far away from SA are you willing to go? There's a guy here in Corpus who deals in leases, hunts, etc.

    6.5 PRC Reloading

Anyone have feedback on the non-Hornady brass? I've ordered Hornady and found that it won't ship until 04 April. I'd like to use something else in the meanwhile if I can get it.

Who is in love with their 260rem?

I'm doing almost the same thing and agree wholeheartedly. 139 gr Scenar, 42.5 gr H4350, BR2 Primer, Lapua Brass and Tactical Match Reamer. Accuracy is consistently sub .5" MOA and routinely produces groups of < .25".

I put together a similar rifle with JP parts and it is a tack driver!

Prairie Dog Hunting in Denver Area

Like a lot of the folks have already recommended, head north to WY. I've found them on public land throughout the state in my travels. Plenty of state land and BLM land so you should be able to have a good experience. Going the guide route or paying for access is always an option if you're time...

How much are you jumping the 140 Bergers?

Who is in love with their 260rem?

I have 3 260s and they all shoot well. 139gr Scenars with 42.5 grains of H4350 works well and consistently produces sub half-inch groups.
