A lot depends on your budget and what you intend to use it for the most. I'm very partial to zeiss vortex and premier. However I actually got to see some huskama's recently at a trade show and was super impressed. I love the 12 minitues of wind in the reticle. And they are releasing a 4-16 in...
In my custom abolt this is my go to powder. Not the fastest load but scary accurate with 140gr barnes ttsx bullets ! I have great luck with 7828 ssc and have a good 160 gr load with h1000 also. But my accumark loves the 7828 ssc still working on the couple 8lb jugs of each I have.
I currently have two guns chambered for the greatest caliber on earth ! One was a browning a-bolt rechambered to 7stw in a McMillan stock wearing a vortex viper 6-24x50 with the timney trigger spring upgrade. The other is a mark v weatherby wearing a luepold fixed 12 power. The a bolt loves the...
I love my swifts. One is a bedded and blueprinted Remington 700 vssf it shoots the 40 gr nbt scary accurate over a stout (compressed) charge of varget the other is a ruger no1 it loves the 50gr nbt over h414. I also use a plain old win mdl 70 varmiter in .223. It shoots well with 55gr nbt over...
@ railroader there will always be room in my safe for at least one swift. And a friend had a 257 stw and barrel life was not good. But you pay a price for velocity. I get very good life from my 7's.
Myself here in oklahoma I use a .220 swift. I use nosler 40 gr ballistic tips except during deer season then I use either a 7stw with 140 gr barnes ttsx or a 300 win mag with 180 gr barnes tsx bullets.
