You have a good choice. I have had very good luck with the 55 gr v-max, 39.4 g., win-760, win l/r primer, win cases. I have about 4,000 rounds down the bore. That load is a little better in my shooter than the H-380. Try both see which your rifle likes the best. Seat the bullet abour .003 off...

Don't know for swift. But I use the 55 vmax in 22-250. I use win-760 39.4 grs. Workd very well. Do you know the twist in the brl?

Well said MR.A. The first time I trid to bed a stock, I had a guy looking over my shoulder that was a NRA master shooter. It turned out well, and I am thankdul for that relation ship. Not every shooter can start out knowing all little tricks.

H-4831 is my favorite. I get very good consistance from the powder. I too am a .264 win mag. I have a about 20 rifles. I will grab the small bore win for annalop and low land mules. It shoots flat and wind does not seem to move the little faster around.

I have anneled a lot of brass, never had that problem. Maybe I am not doing something right!

42 gr. imr-4895, 165 gr. bullet. That is the load that the long range target shooters use.

Waputi is right . I use 760, 39.4 gr w/55gr v-max. i get very good consistance. Don't know about the rifle.

Might want to anile the case after 4 shot. That seems to soften up brittle case necks for me.

I use h-4831, barns 120xlc. I have very good load. Rifle seems to like the barns/h-4831 comb. about 310o fps.

Two things to try, 1) Winchester brass 2) After you fire the brass once Anile the necks and shoulder. It might be that you just need to soften the necks a little. :

I just finished polishing a lajah ss barrel for my .264. The man that installed it said to use high copper content jacketed bulets and use a cleaning solvent the turned blue . Shot, clean,shot, clean. He say by the time you get a box of shells through the bore, your broken in. It work just fine...

Have not got to the range to play yet. But any one who is interested in the .264 I have time for. I use 4831, 120 gr hornady. I had it rebarreled with lajah target grade barrel,1-10 twist and 26" SS. I have great respect for the ability of the rifle, win -70. I have some problem with bullet...
