Hi all I have had Stiller Spectre action rifle built up recently, and it has a .295 neck in the chamber, I can fire hornady and all other factory ammo with no hassles as it all, as they have about a .292 loaded neck diameter, but recently I saw 6.5 Lapua Creedmoor brass for sale and I know it...
No wonder I cannot Buy Berger 6.5mm's in Australia anywhere at the moment !!! if you guys in the USA can't buy them... oh well just have to keep shooting my Nosler 140gr custom comps at the range, which are doing well and am getting 2 to 3 inch groups at 400m when conditions are dead calm, also...
a mate gave me his sendero to investigate that didn't shoot well, anyway the barrel was off at an angle, when it was unscrewed it had over 3/8' runout at the muzzle and the chamber was off centre , another time I bought a second hand like new 223rem sps and it's firing pin hole had been factory...
I used to have three rem700's my first one was an A prefix and it's quality of finish was really good, but I will not buy another, all my rifles are now based on Stiller Tac 30 actions and all are finished as good or better than that early rem700, in fact I got my smith remove a custom fitted...
I feel sorry for the workers ,will they get paid out if the company does fold ?? and it's not just remington ! will marlin go as well ?, before they were bought out they made some really high quality rifles.

Hi All I am thinking about buying a vortex viper PST 2 in 5x25x50 not the early 6x24x50 version as the glass on those is not as good. Anyway can you see 22cal bullet hole's at 100 and 200 yards? I have leupold mk4's and March scopes on my other centre fire's but I am building up a 22lr trainer...
I have two trigger tech triggers on my stiller tac 30's rem 700 clone actions and not sure on the model but they go Down to 1lb and are perfect. I also have huber and they are good also but the trigger tech for the $$$ is great value. Never had creep or hassles with mine and both have done...
I shot a mates Accuracy International plus some other chassis systems here in Australia and found that in a rapid fire match they were slow and most were heavy, but were accurate,we tried mounting a rem700 barreled action in 308win in one, that was only shooting about 1moa in it's original stock...
just an update to this post I took the rifle to the range after carefully adjusting the trigger and it's really nice to use in fact it's almost as good as the two stage huber trigger that I have on another rifle.
