Ukrainian sniper kill at 2.36 miles-ballistics?

Well I guess it is awaiting approval????

Using a 750gr A-Max at 3280 (published data for the Lord of the Horizon) approximately 70mils+ of elevation is needed.
Using the Night Force pictured and 30mil of travel (27 useable??) a 40mil base is needed with its corresponding 3000+mil zero (using a 0m calculation vs drop). Minimum-with everything still set on its "edge". You can apply all kinds of combinations of reticle hold, base, dialing etc.. to get to a 2.36mile shot. Or an optic would be required as an adder. From the 3000m value to the 4000m value another 40mil is needed for elevation.
No matter what- what it does show is the importance of long range interdiction. While some might argue the guy "ducked" after the shot, he did appear to move away under his own power- the Russians stopped what they were doing. Stopping the enemy from executing a plan is nearly just as important (if not more) as the kill itself.
Regardless of true or un true, fabricated or whatever. I'd still like to own one of those rifles or at least give it a test drive. Not that I could afford to shoot it much but it would be a fun bucket list item anyway.

Same here!
I just found humor in the name of it. Sounded like the guy that invented it, if it is even true, was probably a member on here. 🤣

With the continued evolution of anti sniping systems and optical and laser detection units...expect a rather robust and nasty response to your endeavours.

Wind even changes over 2 miles of distance.
Get two wind socks, place them 2 miles apart, and they will often show a different wind speed, and direction.
As I frequently fly a drone around the ranch, using it to check on things for my boss, the drone is regularly flying through different winds from one end of a field to another, even when less than 2 miles long.
So calculating for wind speed and direction where the shooter is, the bullet could be traversing through different wind velocities and direction along the way.
280 degrees @9 MPH can easily be 220 @20 MPH from a little gust many seconds, and 2 miles away.
This is a tremendous example of the news making up fake stories.
Just as the fake news stories, have led a few to believe that the Ukraine is a victim in this.

Yep. Always wanted to shoot a 50 as well just never got the opportunity and very likely won't. It would be fun to try it on some paper or steel.
I can certainly see it as useful for a military weapon. Even if it just kept the enemy on his toes with a thought or two in the back of his mind. Not everyone has the bigger stuff to punch back with but I can imagine it would elicit a very nasty response from the folks that do have the capacity to strike back on a modern battlefield.

I have researched all the Ballistic information on this "Phenomenal" long range 2.36 mile Bullet hit on a target at this range.
After extensive research and calculating all the available ballistic information there is available to MANKIND only one conclusion!!!!

IT HAS TO BE A 6.5 CREEDMOORE!

Would that be on a Par 4 or Par 5 fairway?

They lost you will see. The satanic cabal is done

I wonder how anyone would think having another country with a history of violence against your country invade it to continue raping and slaughtering innocent people and plundering your land would make you a victim. It is obvious the country that needed to invade its much smaller neighbor to stop the Jewish, neo-Nazi, satanic cabal from taking over the world is doing all the hard work and we should really be thankful for their sacrifices. We are really luckly to have them around, since they have already saved us from the Chechens and Georgians.

Also, it is just Ukraine; you don't need "the" in front of it.
