I keep hearing things such as "they're running stuff for the military" and that they have no time to run regular items for the rest of us.
Well the military isn't using 300rum brass and Retumbo or many other similar things. I think big brother is closing his grip around the necks of manufacturers
They want our guns. They can't come take them. So they're going after the components so we can't use them.
And yes I also think there are individuals grabbing up things they don't actually have a use for but to instead use that to trade for something they can find on the shelves. I guess it works but still takes away from those who could use it.

I just wish there was a sub forum for available components/ammo instead of filling up the classifieds with commercial vendors that aren't sponsors. I look in the classified for stuff that members are selling to get good deals. Having said that, I have scored primers and N570 thanks to @Veteran. Len, what do think?

People posting components has kept a lot of our guns fed this year. If the OP needs components the buddy system has worked for a lot of us.

i don't disagree. I just think it isnt "classified" stuff unless you are selling it and it clutters the forum for the guys that are actually trying to sell. The other long range forum has a "Good Deals" sub for sales or hard to find products that are back in stock etc.
There are several good Forums out there, this is one of the best where Members helps others out. Whether it's asking a question seeking advice or experience, selling / buying something at a fair price or letting other Members know where something is available, you can find it here. I'm grateful for Members like Veteran that take the time to search websites for items others may need and are having a hard time finding. It takes a lot of time to search each website multiple times a day, time that most of us don't have. So I am very grateful to Veteran and all the others that post Items In Stock.

I use reg lrps in my 270 wsm with no issues and recently tested my 7mm mag with lrps and mag primers side by side, found no difference in accuracy but oddly enough the lrps had a 13 fps higher average velocity over 10 rd strings.

I scored some H4895 the other day thanks to a post on here. My smokeless muzzlestuffer would be dead in the water without it. Being an active duty Apache pilot I don't have the time to check every nook and cranny of the internet searching for a pound or two of powder. I'm thankful for the guys who post on here when component's are available. I'd rather the people on the forum get the items than the scalpers on gun broker. Maybe when I'm an old curmudgeon I will have time to scour the inter webs in search of gear and when I don't find it complain in the for sale section haha. Thanks to those of you who do list when things are available and those who trade to help out their fellow hunters.
