Yes, more questions on 6.5x300 Weatherby

Yup....front 1/3 of the 142 LRAB will act like jello from high speeds from 26Nosler and 65/300......
They work well in 65284 at about 2900-2975 for my rifles...
But for the 26NOSLER.....it's 140 accubonds....could entertain 130abs at higher speeds.....but even the 129LRAB is too soft tipped for close shots...

I've found a few lengthwise shot bullets..
2 from deer..
142LRABs from 65284Norma
1 neck to back ham...295yds
1 Back ham thru to the lower neck..262yds
140ac 26NOSLER
Back thru to lower neck....35yds

All perfect mushrooms.....

You ever try Scirocco II in your 26 NOZ

Hey, my load is 80gr of IMR8133, the 127 LRX, 215M primer, Wby case. 4.123 CBTO, I don't zero out with the Hornady comparator on the mic. It gives me 3455fps and an SD of 5 out of my MK V and .578 inch group at 100yds. Shot it at 600 yds and the group was around 4 inches, I didn't measure it.
Take Care

I checked and the 7828ssc gives better case fill in the 6.5x300 than it did in my 7mm RUM so I could use that since I do have some on hand and it is still available.
Do you think it is too fast of burn rate?
Should I stick with the Retumbo or RL 33
?

Description
Norma's Bondstrike Bullets are designed from the ground up to deliver maximum accuracy and terminal performance at any distance or velocity. They utilize power bonding technology for high residual weight and penetration, and a thinner front-jacket for expansion at all ranges. To ensure optimal accuracy and speed, the Bondstrike features a match boat tail with high BC, as well as an aerodynamic polymer tip which enhances BC even further and promotes greater expansion.

Features:

  • Aerodynamic polymer tip for high BC and quick expansion
  • Thinner front-jacket for expansion at all ranges
  • Power bonding technology for high residual weight and penetration
  • Match boat tail for high BC giving speed and extreme precision at long range

Funny in a way, I ran out of the Scirocco II and Norma suggested the Bondstrike as an alternative. These were available so I bought 100 to test then bought 500 for stock. They work well in the 6.5-300 WBY when powered by Retumbo and Re-33.

Looks great!
Are they as accurate as the regular Accubonds on target?
What seating depth preference do they typically have?

As usual, accuracy is dependent on you, your rifle and the hold based on a successful load.

My chamber is customized for the freebore and throat, it's not standard. In standard chambers with a cartridge such as the 6.5-300 WBY, I start .050" off the lands and adjust.

:)
