What's your rifle lineup?

OK memtb, you're keeping us in suspense! What is your rifle?!

I had it started in '89, received it March of '90. A push feed Model 70, 24" Douglas Match SS barrel with sling swivel on barrel, 2 leaf express sights, McMillan stock with full length bedding, Leupold 3.5-10 CDS (presently) and zeroed at 300 yards, in Leupold QD Base/rings, the first 22 years she wore a Leupold 2.5-8 ( now a back-up, zeroed and ready), Pachmyayr Decelerator recoil pad. Weighs 9# 1oz. ( scope, 4 rounds, and slung). She's chambered in .375 AI, presently running Barnes TTSX 250's at 3130 fps.
The only rifle I've hunted with, since receiving it. Started out with Hornady 270 SP's, went to Barnes in the early '90's. Used them ever since, only changing as Barnes upgraded their line!

There you have it.....hopefully it was worth the suspense! :D memtb

Sounds like a beautiful build. Awfully big for the whitetail I'm normally chasing... then again.. is there really such a thing as overkill? haha

Thanks!
Would you believe, I've not killed a whitetail with it. Quite a few mule deer, antelope, elk, and a moose. Along the way, a few coyotes, fox, prairie dogs, and rock chucks....oh, and a few "pine" grouse!
It will "pretty much" work on most anything! Looking forward to doing some hog hunting down in the Atchafala Basin or maybe east Texas, one day! memtb

The list of what it won't do is very short.

Had to look up Atchafalayal Basin. Pretty cool, not sure I'd go in there regardless of what I was packing!

Old saying in the West: Beware of the man with one gun because he probably knows how to shoot it. :)

In my case - the trusty 30.06 - but I don't begrudge anyone a 7 Mag. For Deer/Elk - prefer the 180 grain bullet in .30 cal.

Otherwise - just for plinking - have .17 HMR savage - bull barrel,
22LR Remington - both with average scopes - and had a little .308 Rem 783 I bought for my wife - but am selling that to get a .300 Win Mag - so I can play at 1,000 yard shooting and also reach out effectively beyond the .06 - about 150 yards - 600 max? if need be - but with perfect conditions.

If I wanted a longer range varmit rig - might get the new hot caliber - 6.5 Creedmoor.

Everything else is nice to have - but not essential. :)
