Christmas is coming fast, and want to get some of the amazing men in my life a really good hunting knife.
Open to any recommendations, not looking for folding knives.

I really like my Hatfield knives.
Works of art, and extremely functional.

Knives are really a personal thing. As a general purpose knife I like my Buck. Not an expensive knife, but holds an edge well. I like the 102 Woodsman. Have a 119 ,but find it gets in the way because of the large size. Outdoor Edge makes some great feeling knives, but I personally think Buck holds an edge better.

Randall is one of the best but quite speedy and you won't get them for this Christmas.

I've been meaning to do a follow up to a thread I posted a few years back, where I asked a similar question for a backcountry knife.

Long story short, I've had good luck with my benchmade altitude. S90v.

Knives are definitely personal. I focused on the material it was made out of, edge retention, and a knife that I could use for backpack hunting (packing out using the gutless method).

I like my Benchmade Altitude too. I also have a Steep Country that I like too. I want to get a fixed replaceable blade knife soon too, I've been looking at the Tyto and Goat knives.
