twist and long range

I have read that the best twist is the slowest that will stabilize your chosen bullet at the maximum range you will be shooting. If a bullet is stabilized at 200 yards, would you possibly need a faster twist to stabilize a bullet at 1000? If yes, Why.

In most cases no. Possibly all cases. A bullets stability will actually increase over time. The times when this is violated is when the bullet goes transonic.
 
You should be in good shape at long range if stabilized at short range. The forward velocity of a bullet slows down much faster than rotational velocity.....Rich
