Here is the basics of what I did. The work isn't very clean because I tried many other things before resorting to this. From now on, this is what I will do first if I ever see the problem again!
Remove the decapping rod. The retainer for your pin may stay inside the case.
Back your die out of your press and take it to a vice. Run a tap down through your primer pocket until it breaks freely into the case body. It doesn't matter what size or thread of tap. It will stay there for the rest of the procedure.
Take a gear puller and a hard metal rod. Stamp a divot into the metal rod in the center of its end. This rod needs to stick out about an inch from the top of the die.
Take gear puller and attach it to the die. Run the puller down to center on the rod and press it out!
