I'm wary of ordering anything when credit card is charged upon order receipt, yet product doesn't ship for days, weeks & sometimes months. Not sure what Brownell's policy is.

FWIW EuroOptic charges your card at time of order even on backorders. However, if the price goes up before it comes back in stock, you don't get charged the difference. And they've yet to have anything I've ordered be on backorder over 4-5 months.

Last time I order a back order item on OP, they placed a hold for the amount immediately, but it went away and i got charged when it shipped
