Well I just got through testing the new 250 gr accubond in .338
and was pleased with the results.
I,m shooting the .338 RUM with a 26" lilja hunting rifle and
using H 1000 .
The test were only at 100yrds but all groups were very good.
Best group was at 3029 ft/sec = .212 3 shot.
Worst was 2994 ft/sec = .369 5 shot.
All loads were strong but had no signs of excessive pressure.
I am planning a Elk trip to area 70 and wanted to use the 250 accubond
if I could make it shoot.
I have not played with seating depth or small changes in powder charges
or primer changes yet, but I will now before I run the balistic tables for
the hunt.
I'M happy and confident that the 338 RUM will do its job if I do mine
