The 308 Win a great round, but sometimes shots from a few feet to 400 plus yards can happen. That would stretch the 308 win and 30-06.
The 300 Win and 338 Win are very popular for moose hunting here in AK.
If used within its limitations the 308 Win and 30-06 will do fine.
Your choice of bullets the 165gr Fail Safe to Trophy Bonded......would be excellent along with the popular 180gr weight.
Just a reminder where you hunt moose, the grizzly or brown bears are present so alittle more gun feels comfortable like the 300 Win Mag.
