Hey guys i would really apprecaite any and all info yall have on the 338 edge. I will be shooting 250 gr and 300 gr bullets. At first i will be shooting 250 gr hornady bthp, since no one has 300smks. I have got some on backorder at midway so hopefully they will be here soon.

thanks
nathan

92 grains of H-1000 for the 300 SMK. 98 grains of H-1000 for the 250 SMK or 95 grains of R-25.

Federal 215M primers. These are near or at max, so reduce 10% and work up

101 grains of H-1000 behind the 265 HAT bullet at a little over 3100 FPS out of a 28" barrel.

Shot out of a 1.5" 17-4 pH action.

Warm load but the Remington brass has worked very well. Up to 8 loadings so far.

This load out performs the 338 Lapua Improved with the 300 SMK that I shot for the last three years.

I am very impressed with the 338/300 RUM.

300g SMK, 92g H-1000, Rem case, CCI 250, OAL=3.780" Average velocity 2840fps from my 28" HART barreled 338 EDGE.

Plan to try some 225g AB's in the near future as well since they are easier to come by.

I have several boxes that I could sell if you need some. I cannot fathom ever using them again. Let me know.
