Leupold European vs VXIII

I looking for a light scope for my Sheep Rifle the Leupold Euro 2x7weighs about the same as the VXIII 2.5x8. I have no experince with the Euro. Wha do you think about the two scopes?

Also does an one have a recomendation for a light scope in ths power range?

The Euro is a 30mm tube but has the old friction adjustments. I'd go w/the VX III. There is a reason why they cost more /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif.
