I just sent a vx-2 6-18 power to the custom shop to have a bdc installed on it. Does anyone have any experience with leupolds BDC?

Bobcat Trapper, No experience with the new reticle but I have their Mil Dot and BC reticles. Just go out and test under field conditions to verify the POI. Only other problem is to remberber to set the power to the correct value for the BDC to be correct. On most scopes it is the highest magnification. Not sure on a 18X variable if they use another power. Instructions should tell you. Good luck. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

On a BDC the power makes no difference because the change in point of impact is regulated the clicks and is constant no matter what power it is set on. On a mil dot or ranging reticle it varies by the power setting so that is the one that you need to know the power the reticle is calibrated for. Kenton does knobs for about half the cost of what Leupold charges for them and delivers in about 1/4 the time.
