I was banned on the fireline fourm because i posted a couple links to petitions to sign to let people know your thoughts on future gun control issues. I posted it and the post was locked and i told the moderator that i couldnt see any logical reason that he would lock a post like that. Ive chuckled in the past at that same moderator closing posts just because he didnt agree with someones opinion. Kind of comical how big some peoples egos are!! Sure no loss to me. I kind of feel like an outlaw as its the first time ive ever been banned from a fourm!

You been a member over there for what 7yrs now and know the rules. Art did post reason for lock on your post as he's done with others he's locked. I'm not sure why you didn't check first would of been pretty simple.

tom ive been pmed a couple times by moderators on differnt forums to correct or change a post that violated a rule but never banned. Im a moderator myself on a couple fourms. My job as a moderator is to insure that the fourm doesnt have vulgar language or pornography and to stop any personal fighting between members. Its not to impose my own opinions. Ive never once had to ban anyone. A short pm was about all that was ever needed. What upsets me isnt being banned. Believe me i slept just fine last night. what upset me was he decided on his own that we as gun owners shouldnt put the fight to keep our guns at the top of our priotity list. All i posted was two links to a couple petitions to sign. I didnt swear or call someone a name. I didnt tell anyone they had to sign them or how they should be thinking. I just put something out there that would benifit all of us gun owners. I posted those same links on about 5 other sites and was thanked by many for doing it.

I go on many sites. Some even an experienced loader and shooter can gain lots of info from. This is one of them and the cast bullet.com fourm is another. Most of them though dont have the level of experienced people this one does and i go mostly to help other people get STRAIGHT unbiased answers to there questions. Ill not miss a thing being banned on that one. Ive probably owned more guns, loaded more ammo, casted more bullets and shoot more ammo then the moderators on that fourm have even seen. Ive clashed with him before and i think thats the reason. A bit more ego then experience. His way or the highway. If your one that can deal with that go for it. Me ill continue to post on other fourms and if you look around the diffenent forums youll see that im pretty much respected as a guy that tells it like it is and only post on what he knows. What i wont do is keep my mouth shut about an issue this important to all of us or kiss any moderators hind end!!! and sure dont expect anyone to kiss mine!! Like i said im sure not loosing any sleep over this. As a matter of fact its given me a good chuckle or two and if i look at all the pms and emails ive gotten over it it looks like its given quite a few others a good chuckle too.

Lloyd, Your not much into reading rules and one thing about this site were more or less unspoken word that we obey the ones here and we self police.

Case you didn't read rule # 10 here it is

No political posts of any kind including 2nd amendment topics. It's too bad but all of these political topics have become too divisive for the members.

As more member join maybe we need more controls and locks on post and your one reason this may happen.

If you missed reading the rules here they are

if i did wrong i appolize but really think with the gun control issue today we might better start discussing it and educating the young people here.

Gary, I'm not going to disagree with you. Again this is LONG Range Hunting site as I assume we all deal with fair chase in taking of our animals and experience with bullets deals with that or match shooting maybe varmints.

I don't know many hunters that consider shooting animal over bait or even crop damage as real hunting. I'm sure when the rules were written here they never considered that since we as hunter knew what it meant.

LLoyd is famous as the crop damage killing king he claims more deer truck loads and the list goes on. I asked him one time about fair chase on another site and how that relates to hunting and sure won't tell you his answer. I'm not saying what hes doing is wrong but has nothing to do with hunting as we know it.

Lloyd's never worried about what image he portrait as a hunter when he start bragging and would anyone want young hunter reading his post.

Gary, lot more to this than you think.

I agree that we as hunters need to be watching the political actions and gun related laws. Contrary to what some believe, they affect us too.

Some might remember the Clinton era and the passage of the "Crime Bill". If you do remember, primers were nearly impossible to find on the shelves after that, and it lasted many many months, if not a couple of years. Ammo (especially for handguns) along with any kind of semi-auto was hard to find in 2009 and continued into 2010, just because of an election.
Prices on some of the things we use have done nothing but skyrocket since 2009 and will continue to do so. How many of us (hunters) shoot a cartridge that uses imported brass, Lapua or Norma for example?? Some of that is already bocoming much harder to get and there haven't even been any official policy changes yet!
No telling how bad things are going to get next year.

We as hunters need to be coming together and making our voices heard. All the anti-gun folks are making sure their voices are heard, you can bank on that! Even some people who have always been on the fence with gun control issues are joining the anti-gun rallies after the most recent mass murder in Connecticut. Alot of parents who have never picked a side are beginning to lean toward the other side........the side of disarmament.

There is a place to post political stuff on this site, so long as it's gun or hunting related. There is a Politics Forum, and threads need to be approved prior to being published. I dont see why the petitions wouldn't be allowed there.

Obviously there is a lot more going on here than Lloyd breaking the rules on another site. I'm with SBruce on this one. Although this site is titled Long Range hunting, a lot of the conversations on here are centered around guns in which changes in gun control effects all of us. I have no clue what Lloyd's petition was about, and if it was an opportunity for us as a hunting/shooting community to be heard, then why not allow it to be posted? This is a open forum for discussion on gun related topics. If someone wants to post about a political issues, it belongs in the political section...we do after all have the ability to scroll right past it so we don't have to listen to anyone standing on a soapbox about their views. Lloyd's hunting style, regardless of what I or Tom think about it (and I have a feeling we are on the same page) really has nothing to do with this.

Hopefully, there is not a single person on here that is not willing and preparing themselves to talk about gun control related issues. It is the where, and how it is done that makes the difference.

You are right about there being alot more going on with LLoyd. I know of at least 1 forum he was banned from, after multiple warnings about his posts. Dense is not a strong enough word in this case. Chased moderators around to get their attention. Yeah, that dense.

+1 This American sees it the way you see it !! Our country is fading fast every time someone wants to speak about a hot topic they get the shu shu shu baloney ! Thats exactly our down fall . The opposition is sounding the trumpets and we are suppose to keep silent . Example: The sodomiites are coming out of the closet but we dont dare say anything about that or we get the Axe...
