Been playing around with my Begera Ridge rifle in 30-06. 24" barrel. Loaded up some 165 grain Hornady interlock bullets, some 180 grain Hornady SST, and a few Barnes 168 TTSX. The Barnes where ok, need some work, the 165 would work, the 180's where great. All shoots at 100 yards. I'm lucky if a deer is 80 yards. I hunt in the woods. My load, 49gr of AA4350, Win brass, CCI large rifle primer. Bullet seated to middle of cannelure. I know 180 might be a bit heavy for whitetail, but they shoot great.
Thanks. Good luck this season and be safe!

Well, yeah, good accuracy, just be aware that SST's turn innards into a soupy mess. Although 180 grain may not be as bad for that. My experience was with 30-06 125 grain SST.
