He did the stock paint job himself and it turned out very nice. Here is the only three shots I have fired out of the rifle:

300 gr SMK
92.0 gr Retumbo
CCI-250
3.775" OAL

I am pretty sure you will be happy with this rifle. :D

Figured I'd show the first 3 shot group of barrel brake in.

90 grains of H1000
300 SMK @ 2742 fps
420 yards:D

Looks like I'll have to get some better plate.:D

Looks like things are heading in the right direction.

Good shooting my friend!!!

I have a feeling you will see many groups even smaller then that once the barrel settles in and you find your load.

Again, good shooting!!!

Magman,

I will have to say that that is the most pleasing finish on a stock that I have seen. You are to be congratulated on your efforts.

Now gird up your loins and do the barrel and action in lighter color/shade and the flutes in the darker.

Finally, seeing as how you bought the best of the best scopes and you'll be attached to it for several centuries, do the paint job on it also.

I can only imagine how good that would look.

Those 300 SMKs ask no forgiveness.
