I competed in the NALRSA finale over the weekend at The Valdina Ranch in D'Hanis TX, and did well. I finished 2nd in the #6 classification match after a shootout at the 1,080 yard stage. Probably more gratifying than finishing second, was that I set a new NALRSA record at the 500 yard stage. Managed to shoot a 96 score..
I was shooting a 6.5x47 Lapua barreled on our Axiom action.
These are prone matches with stages at 500, 750, and 1,080 yards.
The open match was won by Paul Reid, who is on our 2018 Curtis Custom PRS team.
A big thanks to my friend Jed for his hospitality and putting us up at his ranch. We chased a few free range Aoudad but didn't connect. He has some killer whitetail on the ranch.

Congrats Joel, wish I could have come down to see it but was tied up working on NRA Instructor Certifications all weekend.

Beautiful country for sure, glad you had a good trip.

Thanks guys, we had a blast. After SHOT, and the NRA show, I'm headed back down that way to close the deal on those Aoudad.
WildRose, not sure where you are located, but if it's within reason, maybe we can meet up.

I'm in Baylor County. When you get back and settled in let me know your plans.
