Never read any mention of replacing firing pin springs with faster models here. Never done it myself. With my shooting skills, I doubt I'd see any difference. Still, I sometimes figure that every little bit helps.

Just wondering if anyone here regularly upgrades to faster springs to reduce lock time. Maybe it's not an issue with pricier, custom actions.

Routinely done with the top notch 700 conversions and customs come with faster and better fitting pin systems.

Can run into problems with 700s converting to the 6BR. Sometimes the firing pin hole has to be bushed and replacement pin.

One more reason to buy a custom right off the bat IF you are going for a top notch built LR rifle.
