I have a 7 rum with a 1/12 twist. I'm looking for someone with some experience with this slow twist to help me pick a bullet. I've tried 140 and 160Ab with little luck. The 140 actually gave me a lower coefficient on the JBM stability calculator but shot better. Not great but better.

you do not say make of barrel or what you are hunting. i have a 12 twist hart barrel .243 .it shoots little tiny groups. my suggestion is to try a 120 baltip; 140 berger,139 horn.

i shot several head of big game in the 80's with the 120 nosler solid base . including a big mule deer (180S) and a record book antelope. for any whitetail south of sask a 120 baltip should do it just fine.
